Giving people options; building a sustainable future.
We're a 501(c)4 non-profit advocacy organization working to ensure that Arlingtonians have sustainable transportation options. Transportation is now the #1 contributor to atmospheric CO2. Shifting our transportation to sustainable options is vital to slowing Climate Change.
We believe people make rational choices given the choices presented to them. Currently the merits of those options are warped by subsidies and years of little or no investment in biking, walking and transit. We are working to put biking, walking and transit on an even footing with cars so that people can choose the options that work best for them.
Eventually, everyone is a pedestrian. Nearly every trip either starts or ends with walking. Walkability is the ultimate measure of a sustainable place.
Cycling is the most efficient means of transportation known to man. Cheap, sustainable and fun, biking is key to a sustainable transportation system.
When you've gotta move a whole lot of people quickly, effeciently, and sustainably, you can't beat public transit.
The best transportation plan is a good land use plan. As many people as possible should be able to live and work in walkable & transit-rich areas.
Join our mailing list and we will keep you up to date on ways you can advocate for better walking, biking, transit & land use in Arlington! We less than one email a week, but each one has concrete actions you can take to change our county for the better!
Check out all of our active action alerts in Arlington! We'll lay out what's at stake, what you can do, how long it will take, and give you some potential talking points to get you going.
Your recurring monthly donation amplifies all of our voices. It equips us with better tools, needed supplies and helps us spread the word via paid ads when we really need to get the message out.
We're always looking for new partners, new opportunities, and energetic volunteers. If you're looking to taking things beyond joining up, giving and responding to action alerts, shoot us an email and we'll talk!
