Sustainable Access Score
C
Being astonishingly close to the metro, Costco nevertheless appears to reject any traffic coming by transit. It does not accommodate anyone on foot, bicycle, or bus. In every case, walking through the parking lot that has no pedestrian lines drawn and one terrible bike rack is hazardous. The parking lot has very tall streetlights, designed to light the entire lot, but this is not a place recommended for going after dark by any means. There is a gate for paying to use the parking lot that would prohibit entrance by wheelchair, although as a pedestrian, I squeezed through. Nearby bus stops would require navigation of the parking lot which is not designed for pedestrians.
