Even though this Giant is close to the Four Mile Run Trail, it's close to the portion of the trail that runs alongside S Glebe Road. There are zebra crossings but the safest way to traverse the four lane S Glebe Road is to wait at the traffic lights on S Meade or S Lang and walk alongside the narrow sidewalk past the large road-facing parking lot to the main entrance of the store. A wavy bike rack placed way too close to the wall awaits you (as well as plenty of "unofficial" bike parking like stair railings and gates), though the Capital Bikeshare alongside Gunston Park and street bike racks on 28 St S and S Meade are potential backups. The bus shelter alongside S Glebe is serviced by the 10B and 87. Considering it's proximity to the Four Mile Run Trail, Gunston CC, Middle School, and Park, and a wide variety of dense housing, it's a shame this store couldn't score higher.
