• Shape Policy & Priorities - see & give feedback on alerts before they go out & help shape our yearly priorities document.
• Contribute your Skills & Talents - make SusMo more effective by volunteering your time, talents, and skills
• Help us Partner & Collaborate - be our liaison to another local community group or just attend their meetings & report back.  Help us spot opportunities for alignment & collaboration with potential partners & keep tabs on potential opposition.
• Meet up & Make Friends - regular in-person meetups
• Get More Done - expand SusMo's capacity to accomplish more and bigger things!

Expectations:

• Join the SusMo Discord Server (our free, dedicated, online chat space) so we can collaborate & discuss together.
• Join one or more teams:
  • Join the Volunteer Team - fill out a volunteer profile with your skills, talents, and available bandwidth and we'll call on you when we need help!
  • Join the Liaison team - join a County Commission or Committee, your local civic or neighborhood association, or another community non-profit or group like the Civic Federation, Committee of 100, or EcoAction Arlington, or just attend their meetings as an observer.  Report back to SusMo leadership on what's happening within these organizations so we can find opportunities for collaboration or gain an understanding of potential opposition.
  • Join the Support team - activate a recurring monthly donation to SusMo to keep our website humming & our volunteers armed with quality digital tools like Canva, MailChimp, Fedica, and more!

How to Get Started

Come to the next SusMore Social Event - Tuesday July 30th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Quarter Market, the Ballston Quarter Food Hall to meet up with a board member in person, or email us & we'll set up a quick 30-minute in-person or virtual meeting to get you started!
