Sustainable Mobility for Langston Boulevard
Level of Effort: 15 minutes, at home, in your PJs
Deadline: EXTENDED: Wed 3/19 11:59pm

VDOT is exploring possible "safety, operational, transit and bicycle/pedestrian improvements" along Langston Boulevard between Vietch Street and Key Bridge.  It is important that supporters of Multimodal Transportation weigh-in on their desired priorities for this study as other "STARS" studies (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) have turned into lame excuses to make driving faster under a sham veneer of safety rhetoric.

With FIVE Vision Zero hotspots within the study area, calming traffic and reigning-in motor vehicle speeds must be a priority.

Prioritize improvements for walking biking & transit.

Drop pins on the map at places with known safety issues and at locations that are lacking important walking, biking, and transit infrastructure.  Known Vision Zero hotspots within the study area:

  1. Langston Blvd (Eastbound) @ Ft Myer Drive
  2. Langston Blvd (Eastbound) @ Lynn St
  3. Langston Blvd (Westbound) @ Lynn St "Intersection of Doom"
  4. Langston Blvd (Eastbound) @ Nash St
  5. Langston Blvd @ Oak St
